The Master of Business Administration (MBA) – Executive and Fulltime - at the Zollverein School

The MBA degree courses at the Zollverein School will provide students with management and design skills in a practical and completely new way.

Target group
It is aimed at executives working in business and the creative sectors:

  • executives in companies who have to make or influence design decisions will be given an insight into design processes and the way renowned experts see and work;
  • experts from the creative sectors who are confronted with business decisions will acquire skills that will prove valuable to them for marketing, finance, and strategic and operative management.

Duration
The executive MBA course will last 20 months. In the first 14 months of the course, students will be required to attend classes in Essen from Thursday to Sunday once every three weeks. In the final six months of the course, the writing of dissertations means that students will spend less time at Zollverein.

The full-time MBA course will last 18 months. In the first 12 months of the course, students will be required to attend classes in Essen every day. Course work will be very practical and will be based on projects. Here too, the remaining six months of the course are reserved for the writing of dissertations.

Language of tuition
The executive MBA course classes will be conducted in German and English.
The full-time MBA course classes will be conducted in English.

Admission requirements
The admission requirements for the Zollverein School are:

  • a university/college degree (Bachelor level, 3 years)
  • at least 2 years work experience
  • certificate of good command of the English language, as TOEFL
  • completion of a selection interview (during the base camp)

Costs
The tuition fees for the entire 20-month executive MBA course amount to EUR 22,000.
Where necessary, participants can receive support in the form of scholarships (e.g. sponsorship from companies) or internal support from the Zollverein School.
